Charles Creed

Charles R. Creed, age 92, of Sardinia, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, June 11, 2019 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia.

He was born March 13, 1927 in Highland, Ohio, son of the late William B. and Clara Maude Chrissman Creed.

Charles was a member of Sardinia American Legion Post #755, Sardinia Church of Christ, was the past president of the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Club, and a former member of the Sardinia Volunteer Fire Department. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corps. Charles retired from the Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service, after retirement he spent several years as a grounds keeper at Lake Waynoka. He also loved to farm.

Surviving are his loving wife, Rosemary Lang Creed, whom he married on October 27, 1950, daughter, Melissa (Rick Young) Creed O'Farrell of Mt. Orab, two grandchildren, Katy (Jason Thompson) O'Farrell and Daniel (Sydney) O'Farrell, four great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Gabriel, and Emily O'Farrell, and Jayde Thomas, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Duffey, Virginia Campbell, Dorothy Creed, and Elizabeth "Betty" Willaims, seven brothers, Harry, John, Paul, Russ, Roy, Ralph, and Jim Creed.

Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm.  Interment will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery, where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
