Charles Robert "Bob" Camp,
Age 78, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away after a long struggle with COPD early Monday Morning, October 31, 2016 at home.

He was born March 20, 1938 in Wilmington, son of  the late Paul Frederick & Mabel Louise (Blain) Camp.  On June 25, 1961 in Wilmington, he married Shirley A. (Slimp) Camp, who survives.

A Wilmington High School 1957 Graduate, Bob was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He had worked at the Murphy-Benham Hardware Store in downtown Wilmington for over 30 years and then retired from the Wilmington Walmart store after  22 years of service mainly in the paint and hardware department.  He was a member of the Wilmington VFW#6710, Wilmington American Legion Post #49, Wilmington FOE #1224 Eagles, and an over 40 year lifetime member of the Wilmington Lions Club.  There was never a man who knew so much about everything.  He was generous to all and never had an unkind word to say.  He was a true character and we will miss his smile, sense of humor and wonderful heart.

In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his son- Charles Robert "Rob" (Terri) Camp, Wilmington; daughter- Carol Lynne Camp, Wilmington; 2 granddaughters- Brittanie (Alex) Bartlett, Wilmington & Courtnie Camp, Wilmington; brother- Fred (Debbie) Camp, Columbus; & 4 sisters- Pat (Gene) Guzzi, Wilmington, Paulette (Richard) Carter, Wilmington, Jackie (Gary) Hampton, Clarksville, OH & Connie (Larry) Millard, Sarasota, FL.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Pastor Dave VanHoose officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery, New Antioch, Ohio, where the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard will accord full military honors.

Friends will be received from 5-7 PM, Wednesday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
