Charles Jeff Brommund,
age 73, of Miamisburg, Ohio, formerly of Wilmington, took his last flight on Friday morning, June 2, 2017 at the Sycamore Glen Retirement Community in Miamisburg, Ohio.
He was born July 28, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of  the late Charles Henry & Virginia Lucille (Puterbaugh) Brommund.   He was raised in Blanchester and moved to Wilmington when his father took a job at Wilmington College.  Jeff graduated in the inaugural class of 1961 at the new Wilmington High School.  He went on to Wilmington College, where he graduated with a BS degree in business.  While at WC, he joined Gamma Phi Gamma Fraternity.  After College, he joined the US Air Force Reserves at the Clinton County AFB and began working at NCR in Dayton until the UAW ran the company out of town.  Jeff then transferred to the Ohio National Guard which had moved from Wilmington to Lockbourne AFB (later Rickenbacker AFB) and hired on as an Air Technician, where he spent the next 22 years, retiring in 1994.  Jeff enjoyed golf, and coaching slo-pitch softball, spending many years with the Wilmington Rebels.  His highlight moment in sports was in 1992, when he coached the Rickenbacker women's team to the national championship in Boise, Idaho.  Jeff also enjoyed bowling in leagues in Wilmington, Xenia, & Columbus.  Jeff was a huge supporter of the Reds, Bengals, Buckeyes, Nascar, Dayton Flyers, Blue Jackets, and the Wilmington Hurricanes.  Due to some health problems, he and his sister bought a home together in Centerville, where they lived.  Jeff was a member of the American Legion Post #49 in Wilmington and the retiree association of the 160 ARF of the Ohio ANG.
Surviving are his sister- Sally Gutierrez; niece- Michelle (David) Hill and their children- Dalton and Annabelle; nephew- Kyle (Michelle) Gutierrez and daughter Sadie, all of the Dayton Area.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with  Pastor Stu Rammes officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, where the active duty Air Force Reserve and the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors.
Friends will be received from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday, June 10 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home.
