Chacy Scott Jr

Chacy Scott, Jr.,
78, departed this life on Sunday, September 25, 2016.  Born January 22, 1938, in Wilmington, Ohio, he was the son of Chacy Scott, Sr. and Elva Lucille Ward Scott.  He attended Wilmington High School and later retired as a construction worker.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Chacy Williams; siblings, Judith Scott Warner, Farrell Scott and Wayne Bucky (Gustelia) Scott.  Surviving Chacy are his daughters, Latricia Berry of New York and Deborah Scott of Baltimore, Maryland.
Chacy had eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  His son Chacy Williams had two children Alyssa Hidy and Austin Williams and grandson Milo Skaggs.  The remaining grandchildren are Sharees Berry, Jasmine Berry, Cory Berry, Brittany Berry, Demetirus Jones and grandchildren Cortera Berry and Lamar Slaughter of New York (Latricia) and Kobie Scott-Pearson (Deborah) of Baltimore.
He is also survived by brothers and sisters:  Johnny (Cecelia) Scott, Wilmington, Imogene (James) Smith, Jeffersonville, Ohio, Maxine (Harry) Gilham, Newark, Ohio, Garey Scott, Atlanta, Georgia and Thomas (Sandra) Scott of Pickerington, Ohio.
Chacy was an outdoorsman, avid hunter, trapper and sports fan.  Although Chacy resided in Wilmington for fifty plus years he also lived in New York for many years.  He enjoyed sharing numerous stories of his life in the “big” city. Obviously he never lost his love for that city.
Chacy lived a full life on his own terms and without regret. We are thankful for the years and time that we had with him and realize that he is now reunited with his parents, siblings, son and friends. We take comfort in knowing that he is well, free from pain, worry or stress and we will see him on the other side.
Both the viewing and funeral will be held on October 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 23 Walnut Street in Jeffersonville, Ohio 43128. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12 noon and the funeral at 12:00 noon.   The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
