Caroline Stroup

Caroline Stroup, age 73, of Mowrystown, Ohio, passed away early Saturday morning, December 17, 2016 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born January 21, 1943 in Circleville, Ohio, daughter of the late Walter and Roberta (Starkey) Cottrell.
Caroline was active in the Nazerene Churches and the Church of Christ in Christian Union. She enjoyed sewing, frogs, and loved her dogs Marcus and Maxie.
Surviving are daughter, Roberta "Birdie" (Jaret) Albaugh of Freeport, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren, Jennifer Albaugh and John Albaugh, two sisters, Margie Luffman of Tennessee and Mary Thomas of Kentucky, and two brothers, Earl (Carlotta) Cottrell of Tennessee and Stephen (Shelia) of Georgia, sister-in-law, Dawn Cottrell of Stoutsville, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy E. Nihart, second husband, Paul "Joe" Stroup, and two brothers, Marvin Cottrell and Daniel Cottrell.
Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, 17 E. Main St. Mowrystown, Ohio, Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
