Camden Toler

September 14, 1951 — February 14, 2025

Hillsboro

Camden R. "Cam" Toler, age 73, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on February 14, 2025 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio with his family by his side.

He was born September 14, 1951 in Danville, Virginia, son of the late Claude Woodrow Toler and Hilda Ann (Osborne) Pruitt. On April 10, 1988 he married Julie (Vance) Toler.

Cam moved to Ohio in 1969-1970 while working on the wiring for the newly built Hobart factory. In 1972, he joined Bell’s Foundry, where he remained until its closure. A skilled and resourceful worker, Cam was instrumental in keeping machinery running, often crafting custom parts when none were available and designing innovative solutions to improve both efficiency and safety. Following the foundry’s closure, he continued his career with Kenny Davis Homes and CCPI in Blanchester. One of his most remarkable engineering feats was dismantling a three-story barn on McCoppin Mill Road, transporting it around Rocky Fork Lake, and successfully reconstructing it on East Shore Drive for Robby Roberts-a task deemed impossible by engineers, yet one he accomplished with determination and ingenuity. Beyond his professional skills, Cam was always willing to help those in need, often offering his electrical expertise to those who couldn’t afford the costs. He had an incredible ability to fix anything, no matter the size or complexity of the challenge. He was quite the handyman. Cam enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking over an open fire and on a grill, and watching action movies. He loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Julie Toler; 5 children: Adam W. (Tonya) Michael of Hillsboro, Sarah M. (Chris) Riley of New Vienna, Chris (Tina) Reinhardt of Minford, OH, Chad (Cynthia) Reinhardt of CA, and Chane Reinhardt of Minford, OH; special granddaughter, Hannah L. Riley; grandchildren: Abby E. Riley, Iva Faye Michael, Brandon Reinhardt, Krista King, Autumn Reinhardt, and Kayleigh Reinhardt; & sisters- Joan Daniel. Providence, NC, Kay Chambers, Reidsville, NC, & Fran Moore, Reidsville, NC.

In addition to his parents, Cam was preceded in death by three brothers: Wayne, John, and Joseph Toler; twin sisters: Susan Lovelace and Virginia Manring; and a grandson, Tyler Michael.
