Brian Gregory Collins,
age 36, of Burlington, NC, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Burlington, NC.

He was born August 15, 1975 in Wilmington, OH, son of Danny & Kay (Hill)Collins.  On January 15, 2011 in Elon, NC, Brian married Nadia Alamo, who survives.

Brian worked as the Associate Director of Residence Life for Residential Education and Community Building at Elon University. He had also worked at Virginia Poly Technical Institute and Kent State University, where he met his beloved wife.  Nadia & Brian had been together for 9 years.

He was a member of First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ. A 1993 Graduate of Wilmington High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Ohio University and his masters in student affairs from Kent State University.

In addition to his parents and wife, other surviving family members are his brother, Adam (Rachel) Collins, sister, Chrissi (Mark) Westfall, maternal grandparents, Kenny & Ruth Hill, paternal grandparents, Harold & Donna Collins, and five nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, 120 East Columbus Street at North Walnut Street, Wilmington with Pastor Tom Stephenson officiating.

Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon, Saturday, March 10 at the church.
