Bonnie Swisshelm

Bonnie A. Swisshelm,
Age 74, of Leesburg, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family Sunday Morning,  August 31, 2014 at home.

She was born October 29, 1939 in Lynchburg, OH, daughter of the late Davey Crockett  & Dolly Opal (Tolle) Shepherd.  On December 27, 1956 she married her husband of 53 years, Kenneth E. Swisshelm, who died November 3, 2009.

Bonnie retired as a Medical Care Technician for the Friendly Center, Wilmington.

Surviving are her 3 daughters- Tambra Walls, of  Leesburg, Vicky (Marcus) Shelton of Hillsboro, OH, & Penny Swisshelm, of Leesburg; 12  grandchildren- Angie, Matt, & Brittany McKinney, Vicki Lea Whitman, Shawn, Larry, Bobby, John, Seth, Benjamin, Jeremiah, & Bonnie Layne;  25 great-grandchildren; & several nieces & nephews. Also surviving are 2 brothers, James Shepherd and Chester Shepherd, 2 sisters, Virginia McKinney and Judy Brien.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by 2 grandsons- Dougie McKinney & Robert Layne, 2 brothers, Larry and David Shepherd, and a sister, Faye Ashley.

Funeral Services will be held at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 W. Locust St. at Mulberry St. Wilmington, OH  on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.  with  Pastor Kenny Cousar officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
