Betty Jane Nevels,
age 87, of Wilmington, Ohio, recently transitioned at the Four Seasons Nursing Home in Washington Court House, OH.
One of Six siblings, born and raised in Wilmington, Ohio. Betty is the daughter of the late Frederick M & Elizabeth (Medley) Blair.
Because she had a passion for helping others, upon graduation from Wilmington High School in 1952, it was her goal to become a missionary in Africa, but fate intervened. Betty married the late Eddie Lee Nevels and bore three children: Cynthia Nevels, of Washington DC, Stephanie Nevels, of Wilmington, Ohio and Rodney Nevels, of Pennsylvania.
Her work history at the Wilmington Social Services, the Head Start Program in Clinton County and the Wilmington City Schools revealed her love of nurturing and supporting those in need.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Tabernacle Church, Wilmington.
Betty leaves behind her children and a host of nephews, nieces, & cousins.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning, at 9:30,May 19, 2022 at the Sugar Grove Cemetery, 297 West Truesdell Street, Wilmington.
