Berta Jo Combs

Berta Jo Combs, age 68, of the Lynchburg Community, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025.

She was born January 4, 1957 in Hazard, Kentucky, daughter of late Woodrow and Mamie (Kelly) Allen. She was the devoted wife of Michael Gene Combs, they shared 49 years of marriage together.

Berta will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Surviving are husband, Michael Combs; three daughters: Sonya (Tim) Walter, Michelle (Will) Marlow, and Erica Combs; five grandchildren: Trystan, Eleanor, Graham, Chandler, and Dawson; and four siblings.

In addition to her parents, Berta was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St. Hillsboro, Friday, April 4, 2025 at 11:00 am with Pastor Lloyd Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Barker Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
