Age 92, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, July 10, 2011at the Cape May Retirement Community in Wilmington, OH.
She was born June 5, 1919 in Trail Run, OH, daughter of the late Edward Charles & Laura Luella (Shai) Busche. She married on March 3, 1946 to Dr. Warren F. Mills, who died on January 2, 1963.
Bertie worked as a teacher for Bellfontaine City Schools for over 20 years..
She was a member of the Athenian Club, Bellefontaine Women's Club, Rake & Hoe Garden Club, Eastern Star #459, Bellefontaine, Mary Rutan Hospital Guild, & First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine.
Surviving are her 2 sons- Christopher (Judy) Mills of Wilmington, OH, & Timothy Mills of West Hartford, CT; and 3 Grandchildren- Gabe, Brigitta & Jillian .
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by a brother- Raymond Busche and sister- Grace Busche.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington Pastor Martha Sheldon officiating. Graveside interment services will be the following day, July 15 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bellefontaine Cemetery with Pastor Rob Fulton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.
