Austin Jay Gumley

Austin Jay "AJ" Gumley,
Age 19, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

He was born January 7, 1992 in Wilmington, Ohio, son of Wayne "Sport" Gumley, of Miamisburg  and Teri Fisher, of Wilmington.

AJ worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for A.M.E.S. at the Wilmington Air Park. A 2010 Graduate of Wilmington High School, where he was involved in the FFA and JROTC, He was also a Three Year Laurel Oaks Aircraft Mechanic Student. A member of the Wilmington Church of Christ, he enjoyed his family, friends and farming.  He was an avid OSU Fan, loved motorcycles and volunteering and helping others. He enjoyed doing anything mechanical, taking after his uncles, grandpa and dad.

In addition to his parents, other surviving family members are his brother- Nick Gumley of Wilmington, OH; sister- Stacy Gumley of Wilmington, OH; maternal grandmother- Ruby Fisher of Wilmington, OH; nephew- Xavier Faul, Wilmington; and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, & Special Friends.

AJ was preceded in death by his grandfathers- Herman Fisher, Bob Whitamore, & Wayne Gumley, and his grandmother- Kate Whitamore.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 West Locust Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Dale  McCamish  & Pastor Tony Brachmeyer officiating.
Friends will be received at the church on Sunday, October 09, 2011 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
