August "Ted" Koester,
age 66, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away suddenly, May 17, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 7, 1947 in Rock Island, IL, son of the late August Theodore & Gertrude (Emerick) Koester.
Ted owned and operated Koester Construction of Butler County, Ohio. He was a US Air Force Vietnam War Era Veteran and a graduate of Rock Island High School.
Surviving is his son- Garret W. Koester, Wilmington; Garrett's mother- Sherri Hickman, West Chester; Garrett's grandmother- Joan Fiala, West Chester; 1 brother- Gerald (Gail) Koester, Calamus, IA and 3 sisters- Johanna (Tom) Boetger, Eldridge, IA, Karen (Andy) Anderson, and Raelene (David) Snyder, of Dixon, TN, and his faithful dog Buster.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by a brother- Gary Koester.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with the United States Air Force Active Duty Honor Guard and theWilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad according full military honors. The Chaplain Paul Butler, of the Wilmington American Legion post, officiating.
Friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of services at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio.
