Audrey Mcconnell

Audrey Jane McConnell,
Age 85, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2013 at the Butler-Warren Counties Hospice in Franklin, Ohio.

She was born April 17, 1928 in Bedford, PA, daughter of the late Walter  & Anna F. (Smith) Fritz.

Mrs. McConnell formerly owned and operated with her husband the Middletown Vacuum Cleaner Sales and Repair, Middletown, Ohio.  She was active in Girl Scouts all her life, recently receiving the 50 year award.  She was a member of the Cowan Lake Sportsman Club,  Homemakers Club of Middletown and Villars Chapel UMC, having been involved with many aspects of the church.

Surviving are her 2 daughters- Joyce (Darrell Mannon) Roberson of Middletown, OH, & Terry (David) Fugate, of West Harrison, IN; 9 grandchildren- Roxanne Venters of Fairborn, OH, Patricia (Michael) Rollins, Fairborn, OH, Steve Johnson of Louisville, KY, Samuel Kelly of Fairborn, OH, David Lee Rose of Middletown, OH, Eric Roberson of Middletown, OH, Kevin (Beverly) Rose of Florida, David Adam Fugate of Atlanta, GA, and Chris Fugate of West Harrison, IN; Many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years- Charles Elmer McConnell, a daughter- Carol Johnson Kelly, and  son-in-law- Ralph Kelly, 2 sisters- Mildred Strausbaugh, and Beverly Dellea and a brother- Cyril Fritz.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM,Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington  with Rev. John Guliano officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, Ohio.

Friends will be received from  4-8 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
