Arthur Whitaker

Arthur  Whitaker,
age 81, of Martinsville, Ohio, passed away surrounded by his family, Tuesday night,  April 23, 2013 and went to the Lord.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda Adams Whitaker, whom he married December 19, 1954 in Wilmington, Ohio.

Mr. Whitaker was born December 13, 1931 in Germantown, Ohio, son of the late Arthur & Bertha (Stephens) Whitaker.  He had been a former employee of the Wilmington City Schools and the Clinton Memorial Hospital during the 1960's and 1970's.  He was a member of the Sligo Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters- Ruby Egleson and Mary Bryant and 4 brothers- Beriah Whitaker, Ted Whitaker, Henry Whitaker, and infant Harry Whitaker.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington  with  Rev.. Gregory Hewitt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Springfield Friends Cemetery, Wilmington.

Friends will be received from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM, Friday at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH .
