Arthur Murphy

Arthur H. Murphy, age 54, of Wilmington, OH, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Georgetown, OH.

He was born January 18, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN, son of the late  Leo Murphy  and Alma Hooker Murphy ..

Art worked for the Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement Division. He loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are wife, Janet K. Murphy of Wilmington, OH, whom he married December 28, 1979, daughter & son-in-law, Erin (Lance) Tate of New Vienna, and their children, Ashlyn & Sahara, son & daughter-in-law, Matthew ( Corey Wiener) Murphy of Wilmington, and their children, Jayden & Makenzy. Also surviving are 4 Brothers, Richard (Diane) Murphy of Winchester, George (Mary) Murphy of Blanchester, Randy (Pam) Murphy of Troy, Henry (Anita) Murphy of Clarksville,  3 sisters, Mary (Ben) Conger of Wilmington, Judy (Bill Harrison) Harrison-Mitchell of South Lions, MI, Sandy Grisham of Cincinnati, and their families.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Robbins and a  brother-in-law, Jim Grisham.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jim Krusling officiating.  Following cremation, burial will follow in the Clarksville Cemetery at a later date .

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, at the corner of Locust & Mulberry Streets,  Thursday, August 25, 2011 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
