Arthur Macke, Jr

Arthur  Romer Macke, Jr.,
age 75, of Port William, passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by his loved ones on July 12, 2022 at the Autumn years Nursing Home in Sabina.
He was born July 6, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Arthur Romer  & Delores Vivian (Saurine) Macke, Sr.   On January 14, 1967 in Bethel, Ohio, he married Kathy Jo Holthaus Macke, who survives.

Art retired as a Machinist for Cincinnati Milicron-Wilmington after 21 years of service.  He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Wilmington, FOE #1224, Wilmington Eagles, and the Sons of the American Legion Post #49, Wilmington.  He loved upholstery, fishing, arrow head hunting, show cars and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his daughters- Kim (Bill) Swearingen of Port William, OH, & Lanna (Randy) Fair of Sabina; son- Artie Macke of Wilmington;  15 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law- Tammy Barney Macke; sister- Birtie (Russ) Grimes of Wilmington, & brother- Bob Macke, Wilmington; sister-in-law- Tina (Greg Carey) Foster, Wilmington; and  lots of nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Art  was preceded in death by his son- Nick Macke in 2017 ; a brother- Richard Macke and sister-in-law- Bonnie (Jim) Williams.

Prayers will be said 10:15 AM, Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington,  followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 18 at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 North Mulberry Street at West Locust Street, with Father Bernard J. Weldishofer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery, Lynchburg, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 2-4 PM, Sunday, July 17 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio .
