Alice L. McNeil,
Age 91, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, May 22, 2012 at the Laurels of Hilliard in Hilliard, Ohio.
She was born January 18, 1921 in Sedalia, Ohio, daughter of the late Edgar E & Gladys (Halliday) Enochs. She married Donald H. McNeil, who preceded her in death on October 15, 2005. They were married for 67 years.
A graduate of Wilmington High School, Alice owned and operated Alice McNeil Realty for many years. She was a member of the Snow Hill Country Club, Clinton County Historical Society, Wednesday Book Club, Clinton County Board of Realtors- having served as president, and the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington. She had served on the Downtown Wilmington Revitalization Committee, and the Scholastic Achievement Council. She loved to travel, to play bridge, and to play golf.
Surviving are her daughter- Connie Hammerle, Alameda, CA; son- Tom McNeil, of Dublin, Ohio; three grandchildren- Keith Hammerle of Alameda, CA, and Jordan & Sara McNeil of Dublin, Ohio; 2 great-grandchildren- Andrew & Neil Hammerle. .
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McNeil was preceded in death by her grandson- Kevin Hammerle and a brother- Rodney Enochs.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 26 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington with Rev. Jeffrey Ott officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception of friends will be held at the funeral home.
