Albert Shumaker

Albert Shumaker, age 89, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Laurels of Blanchester in Blanchester, OH.

He was born July 9, 1924 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late Marion Albert Shumaker  and Edna Mae Lora Daugherty Shumaker .

Al had worked at seveal places in Wilmington including, as a supply purchaser for National Bank and Trust, Irwin Auger Bit, the Randall Corp., Cincinnati Milicron, and Wilmington College.

He was a member of Wilmington Church of Christ and the Wilmington I.O.O.F. #123.

Surviving is his wife, Mildred M. Shumaker of Wilmington, whom he married on August 19, 1950,  son, Marion Theodore "Ted" Shumaker of Wilmington, son, Tracy (Rhonda) Shumaker of Wilmington, granddaughter, Karen (Collin) Abbitt, great granddeaughter, Kalli Abbitt, great-grandson, Collin Abbitt, grandson, Jacob (Jessica) Shumaker, great-granddaughter, Claire Xavier, three sisters-in-law, Ruth Shumaker, Theda Trick, and Ilene McGill and several nieces & nephews .

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Albert Shumaker, sister, Erma Shumaker, Brother, Frank Shumaker, Brother-in-law, Merrill McGill and a Sister-in-law, Helen McGill.

Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wednesday,  July 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm with David  Stokes and Stephen Wetterhan officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.

Friends will be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
